Sessions
Visitors who have been provided with access to subscription services have to be authenticated using a basic username and password match. In order for this check to be carried out once for the duration of accessing the subscription service information is stored on the visitor's computer system in the form of a cookie. You can delete this cookie at any time but if it is not updated within the specified amount of time it will automatically be deleted anyway.
If you are accessing the subscription service from public computer systems we recommend you do not choose to be remembered when you access your subscription service. If supported by the software you are using, the cookie will be removed when the software is closed.
For those who do not wish to use cookies, use the options provided with the software to turn off the use of cookies and our website will automatically detect not to use cookies. This is done by sending a lifetime cookie to your computer system called "init". If your software fails to send the data stored in the "init" cookie back to our website we will know not to use cookies to store session information.
When cookies are unsupported or turned off we also offer the option of being able to access the subscription service by passing the authentication to our website by arguments in the web address you access. To disable this simply choose not to be remembered when you access your subscription service.
All of the session information is removed from our website within two hours of being created. Depending on the software you used to access our website and services, cookies and any other information should be removed automatically. If the cookies and or information are not removed you will have to remove what you do not wish to keep manually.

Top Tips
- Use Mozilla Firefox to browse the world wide web. Mozilla Firefox is constantly improving security measures against websites that try to steal your information.
- Ensure you have a firewall installed and correctly set up to control your connection to the Internet. We recommend using Outpost Firewall for many reasons.
- Avoid installing software such as KaZaA and MSN Plus! as both contain software that monitors your computers activity. If that was not bad enough, they also make messages appear all the time and the software used to display these messages makes your computer system run really slow.
- Close software you are not using. This not only speeds up your computer system but prevents attackers from taking over software to gain access to your computer system.
- Check out all e-mails that are sent to you, no matter how real they look, some are complete fakes and direct you to websites that capture your e-mail address so that they can send you junk e-mails.
- Report attackers to your service provider and the local authority, it might take a few complaints to stop an attacker but action will always be taken.
- Check out the Secunia website, it has a lot of information about vulnerabilities in software and hardware as well as details about viruses.
