Websites and Software Help the Economy

There has been an enormous amount of thinking in respect to the UK economy, which in part has helped achieve significant growth between 2009 and 2010. But why is it that whilst everything seems to be growing, on the software front this country appears to be getting left behind by our cousins across the pond.

Software, in particular software for the web, otherwise known as web development, appears to something we do badly in this country. Like the car industries in the 1980’s, we can’t make software! There is a reason for this, it is not that we can’t make software; it is that we don’t export enough software.

Websites in particular are truly unique in how diverse they can be and how portable they are, yet when it comes to selling websites, America does better. Whilst developing software might be considered a service within itself, the end result is an actual product that can be sold to the mass markets. We need to realise the potential of exporting our software to countries whereby people don’t have the skills desired in order to produce software as good as we can.

Websites, web development, and software for developing websites such as operating systems, applications and artificial intelligence are all products we need more of. Ape Web specialises in producing software, websites and we also specialise in hosting cloud solutions so that businesses can take what we do best to help the world.
